The Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO), in partnership with iCan Shine, is excited to offer this unique approach to allow people with a disability to become independent in riding a two-wheeled bike.
This camp is perfect for those at least 8 years of age who have a disability and are wanting to learn how to ride a bike.
The iCan Bike staff ensures highly trained staff will be hands on in making sure all campers are riding the correct bike for their size, strength and ability while making sure each camper is being properly assisted by volunteers. Please note, dropping off riders at the program is not permitted. A parent, legal guardian or other adult authorized to take responsibility for the rider (ex: another parent) must remain on site for the duration of the 75-min program.

Volunteers are important to make this camp a success! Volunteers are paired with a camper for the week and act as his/her “spotter” to provide encouragement and support and run alongside the camper as they learn to independently ride a bike!
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and ready to RUN! This camp does not require a major time commitment and can provide service hours! Sessions are as little as a 75 minute commitment.
